We’re on our way to Muxia! This is the other coastal destination where many pilgrims traditionally walk to after their arrival in Santiago de Compostela. Certainly, there were pilgrims visible all over Finisterre and we met lots more on the trail today — some, like us, were en route to Muxia but the vast majority were heading from Muxia to Finisterre.
The coast under sunny skies was beautiful today! And the water — so blue! For landlubbers like us, it seems exotic and we couldn’t help but exclaim at the postcard views along the way. We walked the length of one sandy beach to start our day (along with a dog-walker or two), went up a headland, and then more inland for a while. At one point, we diverted to another fantastic beach and a rocky headland before reaching Lires.
