Over hill, over dale, we hit the arrowed trail, and this Camino keeps rolling along!
We were back on the path this morning with the goal of reaching Grado and we managed to trudge into town at 3:00 pm, just in time to snag the last two available lower bunks in the municipal Albergue (hostel). We were greeted and welcomed in by two cheery hospitaleras, Joanna from England and Catherine, who, to our surprise, hails from Kelowna! Jim and I compared hospitalero/a notes with Catherine as we relaxed with a cup of tea in the Albergue common room. This Albergue has 16 beds (8 bunk beds) and is almost full this evening, with pilgrims from Spain, Canada (us), South Africa, France, Germany, and Belgium. We met a Canadian-Polish couple along the way this afternoon, but they were walking on to the next town for tonight’s lodging.
