Rest Day — Santiago (May 21, 2024) 12°C — overcast

By Jim

Our Camino Primitivo by the Numbers

√ 420 km

√ 20 stages

√ 8 days of rain

√ 2 pairs of insoles

√ 1 blister

Today’s to do list

do laundry

get compostela

deodorize boots

have a nice lunch

mail some gifts home

siesta

have a glass of wine

I am happy to report that all was accomplished!

Meeting up with our new Polish friend Chris to get our compostela.

Documented and signed!

We met Ivar, the administrator of the Camino de Santiago Forum (he’s a big deal for Camino nerds).

Although the interior of the Cathedral is ornate…

…the quarry and stone mason marks on the interior walls and pillars were the most interesting.
